From Irbid … An Interactive Sports Day to Promote Mental and Physical Health and Community Integration

Tahfeez Association for Entrepreneurship and Development, in cooperation with Partners for Good Organization and Yarmouk University, represented by the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, the Deanship of Student Affairs, and the Staff Club, implemented an interactive sports activity as part of the activities of the Integrated Development Project for the Skills of Youth, Women, and Syrian Refugees in Jordan, implemented in cooperation with the Belgian Development Agency Enabel and funded by the European Union.

The activity aimed to provide an interactive space that brings together Jordanian and Syrian youth and members of the local community through sports, while promoting mental and physical health, communication, teamwork, and community integration.

The activity included a range of physical exercises, movement challenges, team games, and interactive activities based on cooperation, teamwork, and quick response. Young men and women participated in various challenges in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, fun, and mutual encouragement, providing them with an opportunity to be active, break the routine, communicate with others, and build positive relationships, while also strengthening team spirit and self-confidence.

The activity concluded with honoring the participants through the distribution of shields, commemorative medals, and certificates in appreciation of their participation and engagement. The activity brought together 60 young men and women from Jordanian and Syrian communities, as well as members of the local community, in an experience that combined sports, recreation, communication, and community participation.
