Tahfeez Association for Entrepreneurship and Development welcomed a delegation from the Dutch Embassy during an official visit aimed at learning about its development and humanitarian programs and projects, exploring its experience in empowering local communities and refugees and promoting sustainable development, as well as highlighting the important role of local organizations as key partners in understanding community needs and responding to them directly and effectively.
During the visit, a meeting was held to present Tahfeez’s key projects and initiatives. A presentation highlighted its economic and social empowerment programs, support for target groups, and efforts to enhance opportunities for youth through training, employment, and entrepreneurship. The presentation also addressed the Association’s efforts to respond to the needs of local communities and refugees.
A dialogue session was also organized with the participation of a number of refugees and members of the local community, who shared their needs and aspirations directly with representatives of the Embassy. This highlighted the importance of involving communities in identifying development priorities.
The visit also included a field visit to an entrepreneurship project supported by Tahfeez in Irbid Governorate, which represents a success story. The project demonstrated the impact of development interventions in supporting entrepreneurs, strengthening self-reliance, and improving livelihoods.
The visit addressed several key priorities, most notably supporting refugees and enhancing opportunities for their integration, empowering youth through training, employment, and entrepreneurship, as well as discussing the needs of persons with disabilities and the importance of improving their access to services and opportunities to ensure their meaningful participation.
This visit comes as part of efforts to strengthen dialogue and build partnerships among diplomatic missions, local communities, and refugees, in support of development efforts and in response to community priorities.
